932nd AW: What inspired, or who inspired you to join the Air Force Reserve?
IL: Since I was a kid I always wanted to join the military, but when I moved to the U.S. I felt the need to give something back to the country that has provided me with a better kind of life, and I felt like the best way was by joining the military, and the Air Force Reserve gave me the option to enjoy both sides of the coin, military and civilian life, while staying close to home and family.
932nd AW: What is your job title and a brief description?
IL: Aerospace medical technician, we assist on the care of patients, by taking vitals, giving shots, or assisting with small medical procedures.
932nd AW: What is your favorite part of your job?
IL: I love starting IVs, and drawing blood, but what I love the most out of my job is the rewarding feeling of being able to help others.
932nd AW: Does your job relate to your civilian life, job?
IL: At my civilian I job work as a Medical Assistant, so I get to keep up with my most of my skills even while off duty.
932nd AW: Where do you see yourself in the next few years?
IL: I see myself working towards my bachelor’s degree in nursing, so I can commission as a military nurse.
932nd AW: Anything else you would like to add that wasn’t asked?
IL: I have several hobbies, since I am always interested in learning new things...I know big nerd, but the ones I love the most are: paintball, video games, drawing, reading, and teaching/training mixed martial arts.
