Members of Women with Wings toured a C-40C assigned to the 932nd Airlift Wing during their Aug. 31 visit to Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.

Women with Wings is the St. Louis chapter of the nonprofit organization Women in Aviation International.

According to their website, WAI "is dedicated to the encouragement and advancement of women in all aviation career fields and interests."

The organization provides opportunities including networking, education, mentoring and scholarships to both women and men pursuing careers in the aviation and aerospace industries.

Crewmembers from the 932nd Airlift Wing and the 73rd Airlift Squadron briefed the group on the distinguished visitor transport mission and gave the enthusiasts a chance to tour the aircraft during their stop on the flightline.

Each year, Women with Wings hosts an airplane wash along with other social, educational and community service events aimed at motivating and supporting individuals who are passionate about aviation.
