SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- Chief Master Sgt. Tabitha L. Knupp, 932d Aerospace Medicine Squadron (AMDS), was formally recognized for her promotion to the rank of Chief Master Sergeant during an official ceremony at the Scott AFB Base Theater on December 7, 2024.
She was joined by her family, friends, and fellow Airmen to celebrate her promotion and her future career.
Recognizing the leaders that came before her, Knupp said, “I want to send out a special, special thank you to the members of the Aeromedical Staging Squadron, AMDS, Force Support Squadron, and the Civil Engineer Squadron. I am deeply grateful for each. And every one of you for the role you’ve played in shaping my career and helping me grow into the leader I want to become. Your contributions and support have made this moment possible, and I will carry those lessons with me.”
Obtaining the distinguished rank of Chief Master Sergeant is a momentous occasion, as only one percent of the United States Air Force enlisted personnel can hold that rank.
“To my new team with the MDS, I haven’t been with the unit long, but I can already see the strength, professionalism, and dedication that you bring to the mission. I want to say how excited I am to join you! As your senior enlisted leader, my purpose is to help each of you succeed and grow,” added Knupp.
Knupp served in the 932nd AMDS as an advisor to the commander and key leaders. She also helped develop mission-ready Airmen through mentorship and leadership. During the second portion of the ceremony, she assumed responsibility as the senior enlisted advisor for the 932nd Medical Squadron (MDS).
