The 932 AW and the American Red Cross are hosting an upcoming blood drive.  Please join the lifesaving mission and schedule an appointment today to help your fellow citizen and perhaps fellow military members along the way.  It is a great way to save three lives by your single donation.

Drive Details:
Site: Scott Air Force Base 932nd Airlift Wing
Address: 2400 East Drive (Building 3650), Scott Air Force Base, IL, 62225
Room Name: Conference Room
Date: Thursday, Aug 8, 2019
Time: 12:00 PM - 04:00 PM

The Red Cross is currently facing a blood shortage and has issued an emergency call for blood donors to give now and help save patient lives. Imagine if someone you love needed a blood type that was missing from hospital shelves. The Red Cross now has less than a three-day supply of most blood types – and less than a two-day supply of type O blood – for patients. At least a five-day supply is desired. Every 2 seconds someone in the United States needs blood. But what if it isn’t there when someone you love needs it? Blood shortages do happen.

Only people who have authorized base access can attend the SAFB blood drive. To schedule an appointment search for the blood drive by sponsor code "SAFB" at www.redcrossblood.org. Save time by using RapidPass® online on the day of your appointment

The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need some blood in our lifetime.  This donation helps firm up the supply and resiliency of our fellow Americans and those in the military who may end up needing it too.

Thank you for supporting the American Red Cross blood program on Thursday, August 8 at the 932nd Airlift Wing!
