Master Sergeant Chris Morlan was recently selected to represent his wing at the 2006 Air Force Reserve Command's Human Resources Developmental Council, or HRDC, Workshop.

One of only 200 representatives, MSgt Morlan helped to share ideas and information, but most importantly took an active role in forwarding the command's vision of building a more diverse Air and Space force.

This forward leaning approach is accomplished through focused outreach, mentoring and retention throughout the force.

The command's HRDC was chartered in 1992. It was part of a concerted effort by command leadership to critically at the diversity of the force raising the demand for excellence throughout the organization.

The tradition of excellence and focused demand for improvement continues today through the selfless commitment of the command's more than 75,000 Citizen Airmen.

With the theme "60th Anniversary of the Air Force: Remembering our Heritage," the command's HRDC maintains its forward looking position through the help, attention and insight of participants such as MSgt Morlan.

As HRDC members are ever reminded, diversity is not a goal to pursue but a lifestyle and mindset that helps set us apart. It's what makes the United States the greatest Air and Space Force on earth epitomizing how every Citizen Airmen defines what it means to be "An Unrivaled Wingman."

Assigned to 932nd Mission Support flight, Scott AFB IL is the son of Mr. Joseph Morlan of Wadesville, Indiana and Mrs. Cheryl Cline of Poseyville, Indiana.

He is a 1992 graduate of North Posey High School. He is married to Kelly (Osborne) Morlan and currently lives in New Baden, Illinois, with their two year old daughter Kayla.
