During an employer day this fall, civilian employers
of Illinois Air Force Reservists were impressed by
the 932nd Airlift Wing's mission and
the Airmen that make it happen.

This year,16 civilian supervisors were
treated to an air traffic control tower
tour, an EOD (explosive ordnance
disposal) demonstration, and the
favorite - an orientation flight on a C-
9C plane.

Jason Leuchtefeld, of St. Louis
Children's Hospital, praised the
932nd.

"This was an eye-opening experience.
It makes me appreciate even more
what Reservists do to support our
country."

Mr. Leuchtefeld was one of several
civilian bosses who were able to yell
"Fire in the hole!" and helped set-off
charges set by 932nd explosive
ordnance specialists.

Other civilian bosses like Gary
Freeman were able to sit in the C-9C
"jump seat" and get the pilot's view.

All in all, it was a great day to show
off the wing's assets to employers.
