The 932nd Airlift Wing, known locally as the "Gateway Wing", because of its proximity to the Saint Louis Arch, received its third C-40C plane in November. It is used for distinguished airlift. Making the mission of this Illinois Air Force Reserve unit work are a wide variety of skilled people from maintainers, medical specialists, civil engineers and pilots, to doctors, logistics, and flight attendants, The 932nd AW has worked closely with the Air Force's 89th Airlift Wing at Andrews AFB, Md., to ensure synergy of resources and smart operations while standing up this new mission.
