Base activities this weekend Published April 10, 2008 By 932nd Airlift Wing SCOTT AFB, Ill. -- A race and a chess tournament are coming up this weekend Managing the Scale 10K 4 Person Relay Race - Get your team ready for the Amazing 10K 4 Person Relay Race scheduled for Friday, April 11, at 8 a.m. This FREE relay will begin at the Fitness Center pool parking lot. Awards will be given to 1st and 2nd place teams, plus, random drawings will be held for all participants. All active duty, Reserves, Air National Guard, retirees, dependents and DOD civilians are welcome to participate. For more information, call the Fitness Center. Air Force Chess Tournament - The Scott Youth Center invites everyone out for a fun-filled day of chess on Saturday, April 12 at the Youth Center. Registration will be from 10 - 10:30 a.m., with tournament play beginning at 11 a.m. The tournament is open to youth ages 6 to 8, 9 to 12, and 13 to 18, as well as Active Duty, DoD civilians, contractors, spouses, other eligible family members and retirees. Only active-duty USAF members are eligible for advancement to the Air Force Chess Tournament, Inter-Service Chess Tournament, and the NATO Chess Tournament.
