Reservists are encouraged to get involved with base events.  Coming soon is the base library reading program and a 10K walk.

Get In the Game: READ!

Adventures await those who participate in the Base Library's Summer Reading Program: "Get In The Game: READ!" Registration begins at the Library on Monday, June 2. 

Preschoolers and students through grade 12 can win incentives as they read through the summer. Keep those reading skills sharp while having fun! Our program kickoff will be at Rockwell Hall on Thursday, June 5 at 10:30 a.m. with professional magician.  

Many other fun events and special visitors are planned throughout June and July. Be sure to register early and start reading - reading log and summer event schedule will be available at the Library when you register.

In conjunction with the Summer Reading Program, the Library will be holding special events. Professional Magician Chris Egelston will perform on Thursday, June 5 at 10:30 a.m. in Rockwell Hall. Meet "Izzy", mascot of the Gateway Grizzlies Baseball team on June 18, 10:30 a.m. in the Library. 

A professional variety show, "Babaloo" (music and lots of fun) will take place on Thursday, June 26 at 10:30 a.m. in Rockwell Hall. Story times, music, crafts and fun scheduled daily.

Crazy Leg 10K Trail Run/Walk

Join the Fitness Center on June 6, 7:30 a.m. for their Crazy Leg 10K Trail Run/Walk. Everyone will meet at the Fitness Center pool parking lot and run/walk one full loop around the flightline. Entry fee is $9 which includes a short sleeve T-shirt. Participants requesting a T-shirt need to sign up NLT June 4. 

Awards will be given to first place male/female finishers along with random drawings for all paid participants. 

This event is open to all Active Duty, Air Force Reservists, Air National Guard, Retirees, DOD Civilians and Dependants.
