SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. --  Parting is such sweet sorrow, but it was a joyful time too for the aeromedical community.

The retirement ceremony for Senior
Master Sgt. Anthony Boyd was
held last month at Rockwell Hall at Scott
Air Force Base where family and friends gathered. 

A Chicago native, Sergeant Boyd had
been a member of the 932nd
Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron
(AES) for several years. 

Maj. Pawel Kowalczyk, also an AES member,
officiated the ceremony. 

Family, friends and fellow military members shook his hand and congratulated Sergeant Boyd as he wore the blue uniform one last time.
