Lt. Col. Rob Witzel and Tech. Sergeant Michael Burgess were never happier than the day the 932nd Airlift Wing's new C-40C model was resting on its perch in front of the 932nd Operations Group building. The model has a wing span of 16 feet by 15 feet long and weighs 250 pounds. Two smaller models are displayed indoors.
"We installed two lights and a concrete pad with a walkway. The project took more than a year to design, construction and deliver,"  he said. Witzel started the bid process. Meanwhile, Burgess arranged for the concrete work and lights and final delivery
"My overall impression is (the model) looks great and shows a good image of our airplane and mission. Plenty of people have stopped by to take pictures,"  Burgess said. (U.S. Air Force photo/Maj. Stan Paregien)
