932nd supports AFAF campaign Published April 3, 2012 By 932nd Airlift Wing SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- The 932nd Airlift Wing is participating in the Air Force Assistance Fund, according to Capt. David Thompson, executive officer. There are two ways to contribute to the AFAF--the payroll deduction plan allotments and cash. Under payroll deduction, Defense Finance and Accounting Service automatically deducts monthly contributions from active military and retiree pay starting June 1. The AFAF was established to provide for an annual effort to raise funds for the charitable affiliates that provide support to the Air Force family, including active duty, reservists, Guard and their dependents, retirees and surviving spouses in need. The AFAF's affiliate charities are Air Force Villages, Air Force Aid Society, General and Mrs. Curtis E. LeMay Foundation, and Air Force Enlisted Village. These organizations help Air Force people with aid in an emergency, with educational needs, or to have a secure retirement home for widows or widowers of Air Force members in need of financial assistance. Folks wanting to contribute to the 2012 AFAF campaign, should contact a unit POC prior to 4 May 2012. The 932nd Airlift Wing's main focus will be during the April Unit Training Assembly. 932 AW: Capt David Thompson Wing Staff: SSgt Julia Hodges 932 OG: MSgt Cristine Kenner 932 MXG: SrA Sara Seibel 932 MDG: TSgt Amber Frerichs 932 MSG: MSgt William Sarocco 932 CES: MSgt Allen Presser 932 OSF: MSgt John Hebert 932 MXS: SSgt Eric Nicholson Please, cash or check donation only during drill weekend as Reservists cannot participate in payroll deduction, said the captain.
