See the PA office for details. ***SEPCIAL INTEREST ITEM*** DINING FACILITY RE-OPENING – MAY 23 After extensive renovations, the Nightingale Dining Facility will be open for business on May 23 at 6 a.m., for all base personnel and their family members serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. An official ribbon cutting will be a 4 p.m. and all are welcomed to attend. John Briggs, who had been assigned to the Global Operations Division within the 618th Air Operations Center. Anyone having claims against or indebtness to the estate of SMSgt. POLICE WEEK: TOP GUN COMPETITON – MAY 17 Mark your calendars and prepare for a morning full of safe shooting! The 375 Security Forces Squadron, along with the O’Fallon Police Department, will host a shooting competition designed to test the very basics. The two categories are rifle and pistol. 1st place for each category will be presented one of a kind plaques. The event is May 17 starting at 8 a.m. at the O’Fallon Police Department Range. Joseph Meyer, distinguished guests and local community members during the 2019 Police Week Retreat Ceremony on May 17 at 3:45 p.m. in front of the wing headquarters building, P3. This event is open to the public and will mirror Candle-Light Vigils across the Nation in remembering those who have lost their lives in the line of duty. BIKE TO WORK DAY – MAY 17 Cyclists of all abilities are encouraged to participate in a group ride that will depart Holy Trinity Catholic Church's parking lot in Fairview Heights at 6:20 a.m. to meet O’Fallon riders at Bike Surgeon (corner of State and Vine Streets) NLT 6:45 a.m.; riders will then depart at 7 a.m. for the Shiloh Gate. Belleville riders will meet at the SWIC Metrolink station at 6:45 a.m. and ride the Metrolink trail to the Shiloh-Scott Metro Station. Return rides will depart the Scott Field Heritage Air Park and the Shiloh-Scott Metro Station at 4:30 p.m. HEALTH & WELLNESS EXPO - MAY 17 Everyone is invited to the free annual Health & Wellness Expo scheduled for Friday, May 17, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the James Sports Center. Various health and fitness related vendors will be on site to answer questions and showcase products. Free cholesterol, blood pressure, glucose and bone density checks will be available. Enjoy great samples and giveaways, plus have a chance to win prizes! AMERICA’S ARMED FORCES KIDS RUN This event will held on Saturday, May 18 at the Scott Youth Center. Register at www.americaskidsrun.org and select Scott AFB as the location. This event is free and everyone gets a free t-shirt. Running distances are appropriate for each age group (5 year olds to adults). Start times vary depending on age group. The next 932nd Airlift Wing UTA is on June 1-2, followed by 4th of July Parade in St. Louis for volunteers and then the July UTA on 13-14 July.
