ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: PRYOR DRIVE CLOSURE – APRIL 22 TO AUG. 31
Starting on April 22, we will begin construction on Pryor Drive to make improvements to the existing road. The existing Pryor Dr. from Air Guard Way intersection to the gate will be closed until Aug. 31, weather permitting. All south and north bound traffic will be directed to crossover onto the new addition of Pryor Dr. Please see map for additional details and alternate routes. Thank you for your patience as we make improvements to our infrastructure.

START SMART BASEBALL AT THE SCOTT YOUTH CENTER – SIGN UP BY APRIL 19
Special program for 3-4 year old children to learn basic skills, improve coordination and to have fun. Six sessions will meet on Saturdays from 9- 10 a.m. at the Youth Center. ELECTRONIC RECYCLING AND PAPER SHREDDING EVENT – APRIL 24
The 375th CES will be hosting the annual Electronic Recycling and Paper Shredding Event on April 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the softball field parking lot off Hangar Road. Tube TVs and monitors will have a $10 to $30 fee each depending on the size. Residents can bring up to 10 large items per household, but no more than two televisions. There will be two large paper shredders available to handle personal shredding. For organizational shredding, call 256-9441 or 256-2092.
DECORATION WRITING COURSE – APRIL 24
Scott AFB Chiefs Group is hosting a decoration writing course which provides basic fundamentals of USAF decoration writing and an application exercise. THRIFT SAVINGS PLAN TRAINING – APRIL 25 & 26
The Greater St Louis Federal Executive Board is sponsoring Thrift Savings Plan training on April 25-26 between 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. each day at the Scott AFB Library Auditorium. The April 25 session, “TSP A to Z,” is open to anyone who currently invests or is considering investing in the TSP. The April 26 session, “TSP Pre-retirement Planning,” is targeted to anyone within 5 years of retirement although others may attend. The training provided at no cost to the attendees.
INDIVIDUAL READY RESERVE MUSTER – APRIL 27
Scott AFB will be hosting the FY19 Individual Ready Reserve Muster on Saturday, April 27, 10 a.m. at the Library Auditorium. The IRR Muster is one of three continuous Pre-trained Individual Manpower screening programs mandated by law. During the muster, a number of briefings will be provided from the following agencies: Veteran Affairs, Recruiting and member responsibilities are presented by ARPC, along with a medical consult to inform IRR members whose health and medical conditions may preclude worldwide deployment if mobilized.

STLFC and Scott Air Force Base Futbol Club have teamed up for a special group night on Saturday, April 27 as STLFC takes on the Swope Park Rangers at 7:30 pm at World Wide Technology Soccer Park (1 Soccer Park Rd, Fenton, MO). Come out at 6 pm prior and support your Scott FC as they play against Fort Leonard Wood United prior to the Saint Louis FC semi-professional Soccer team on Saturday April 27.

WINGMAN DAY DIVERSITY FESTIVAL – MAY 3
Join us on Friday, May 3 for Wingman Day Festivities and Celebrate Diversity with co-workers, family, and friends. The event kicks off at 3 p.m. on the Parade Field and will conclude at 7 p.m. Plan for entertainment, food trucks, and fun for all ages! There will be tethered hot air balloon rides for $10 as a fundraiser for the Air Force Ball from 6-7 p.m., weather permitting.
