Did you know?
Did you know Master Sgt. David Ernst, an optometry technician in the 932nd Aerospace Medical Squadron, is now an eye doctor? Sergeant Ernst recently received his doctor of optometry degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. The course work lasted four years including clinical training. The intense course work was challenging and represented a career change for Sergeant Ernst. He said the support and encouragement from his supervisors and friends was rock solid. A long-time NCO in the 932nd, Sergeant Ernst also served as first sergeant for the AMDS. "You are never too old to change a career or chase a dream," he said. Sergeant Ernst now has an optometry practice in Illinois. (Story and Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Dan Oliver)
