POLICE WEEK: K9 JACK’S RETIREMENT CEREMONY – MAY 13
The 375th Security Forces Squadron’s Military Working Dog Section extends a warm welcome to witness a time honored tradition as Working Dog Jack will officially retire having served 8 years of meritorious service to our country while protecting countless Defenders. The retirement of K9 Jack will be May 13, at 10 a.m. at Warrior Park.

Scott AFB Defenders invite you to celebrate National Police Week on May 14 at the Security Forces Squadron at 8 a.m. Please join us for a 5K race and fun run starting and ending and the Security Forces Squadron. The run is free to all! Bring your strollers, rucksacks, pets, friends and family for a fun run or unit PT! There will be medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers & water/snacks for all. EFMP SYMPOSIUM – MAY 15-16
Mark your calendars for the First Ever EFMP Symposium for May 15-16 at McKendree University!
May 15: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. is the Pre-Symposium with Pete Wright from Wright’s Law as the guest speaker. This is a day of Education Law from the Experts in the field. This is offered at no cost to ALL Scott AFB Personnel.
May 16: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. is the HAF/AFMOA/AFPC briefings from EFMP Family Support, Medical, Assignments. These speakers will also host a Question and Answer Session. The afternoon will be composed of breakout sessions and an information fair.

POLICE WEEK: RETREAT – MAY 17
Join 375th AMW/CC, Col. Joseph Meyer, distinguished guests and local community members during the 2019 Police Week Retreat Ceremony on May 17 at 3:45 p.m. in front of the wing headquarters building, P3. This event is open to the public and will mirror Candle-Light Vigils across the Nation in remembering those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
BIKE TO WORK DAY – MAY 17
Cyclists of all abilities are encouraged to participate in a group ride that will depart Holy Trinity Catholic Church's parking lot in Fairview Heights at 0620 to meet O’Fallon riders at Bike Surgeon (corner of State and Vine Streets) NLT 0645; riders will then depart at 0700 for the Shiloh Gate. Belleville riders will meet at the SWIC Metrolink station at 0645 and ride the Metrolink trail to the Shiloh-Scott Metro Station. Return rides will depart the Scott Field Heritage Air Park and the Shiloh-Scott Metro Station at 1630.
DECORATION WRITING COURSE – MAY 22
The Scott AFB Chiefs Group is hosting a decoration writing course which provides basic fundamentals of USAF decoration writing and an application exercise. Course will be held May 22 from 1-2:30 p.m. at the new Scott AFB Professional Development Center (formerly Rockwell Hall). Seating is limited to 58 seats.
