Special guest to appear at deployer send off Saturday

A special "jolly" guest popped up at the 932nd Airlift Wing late in the afternoon, with the sound of bells ringing up and down the halls, celebrating the first day of December, 2017. Santa Claus stopped by on Friday to make the rounds and talk with the highest ranking "kid" at the Illinois unit, 932nd Command Chief Master Sgt. Chad Welch. Welch and Santa are planning a big day for all the Air Force Reserve Citizen Airmen deployers and their families on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. until noon, in the hangar at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. There will be free food, games, a marching band, and holiday fun for the entire family. Santa Claus will visit the hangar at some surprise moment, so reservist's children can share their Christmas wish list with him potentially. Special booths will provide resources covering Tricare, VA, Key Spouse and Yellow Ribbon information. (U.S. Air Force photo by Lt. Col. Stan Paregien)
