Wing walking 0300 show time for 932nd Airlift Wing

932nd Airlift Wing maintenance and operations personnel had a very early 0300 showtime to launch a cold mission on March 11, 2017, Scott Air Force Base, near Belleville, Illinois. At left, the commander of the 932nd AW, Col. Jonathan Philebaum, helps his 932nd Maintenance Group to pull the C-40C aircraft chalks, as the maintenance "wing walker" with red lights in hand, watches the clearance edges on the hangar doors. Wing walkers are designated on both sides of the plane to walk along with the plane as it backs up out of the hangar, ensuring room to get the plane out safely. (U.S. Air Force photo by Lt. Col.
