Spotlight shines on Capt. Vollink
Spotlight on: Capt. Theresa Vollink - 932nd Airlift Wing, Air Force Reserve Command. Military background: Spent four years active duty at Scott Air Force Base and went overseas at Manas. Hobbies? Horseback riding, hiking, quilting, and traveling. Heroes growing up? My parents who always seemed to have an unlimited amount of time and patience for all five of their children. They supported me in all my decisions growing up. They were always there whenever I needed that extra push to move forward to the next level. Without them I would not be where I am today. Favorite animal? My pooch, Midnight, who is a mixed border collie and black lab. Why join the Air Force Reserve? I was not quite ready to give up the whole military community when I left active duty. So I decided to join the Air Force Reserve Command to continue to serve my country. Who would you most like to meet today and why? Colin Powell! I have always been fascinated by his words and actions. I heard him speak a few years back at a leadership conference and have always wanted to hear more. I think he has so much wisdom and experience to share with us and it might help us become better leaders and Airmen. (U.S. Air Force photo/Maj. Stan Paregien)
