932nd AW focus on Women's History Month

2nd Lt. Tracey Beach is one of the newest members of the 932nd officer ranks, having been commissioned in July and her first unit training assembly in September. Assigned to the 932nd Medical Squadron as an operating room nurse, Beach chose the Air Force for both the continuing legacy her grandparents established and the desire to help people. There are more opportunities for women now and I'm proud to serve, said Beach. Women's History Month started as a national celebration in 1981, when Congress authorized the president to proclaim the week beginning March 7, 1982, as Women's History Week. In 1987, Congress designated the month of March 1987 as Women's History Month. Since 1995, Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama have issued a series of annual proclamations designating the month of March as Women's History Month.(U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Christopher Parr)
