Committee shows continued support for Scott AFB

St. Clair County Board Chairman Mark Kern presented Col. Karl Goerke, 932nd Airlift Wing commander, with the wing's portion of a larger donation made to Scott Air Force Base commanders Sept. 3. The funds donated by the St. Clair County Armed Forces Ball Committee will go toward private organizations that provide support to active duty, reserve and air national guard Airmen and their families. The committee raised the funds as part of their 1st Annual Armed Forces Ball, which was organized to honor military service members, past and present.
