Col Goerke takes command of 932nd Operations Group
Col. Albert V. Lupenski, commander of the 932nd Airlift Wing, gives command of the 932nd Operations Group to Col. Karl E. Goerke. The assumption of command ceremony was held Aug. 18, at the base theater. Goerke's previous assignment was as chief of Strategic Airlift Requirements, Reserve Plans and Programs at the Pentagon. He is a command pilot with more than 5,000 flying hours in military aircraft. The 932nd AW, located at Scott Air Force Base, is an Air Force Reserve unit that flies the C-40C.
