The 932nd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, teamed up with two KC-135R Stratotankers from the 434th Air Refueling Wing as they load up equipment for an off-site readiness training on a cold and wet Dec. 8. 2022, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. The two jets, containing 434th ARW aircrew and 932nd AES medical technicians and flight nurses, presented a rare opportunity to have multiple aircraft support AES annual training requirements.
The AES mission is to provide time sensitive, mission critical en route care to patients to and between medical treatment facilities. AE crews and critical care transport teams execute patient movement predominately on military airlift aircraft, as well as on sister service, contracted, and international partner airframes. AE personnel operate anywhere air operations occur in support of the full range of military operations, humanitarian assistance, and disaster response.
