.A prayerful spirit has always been an
important part of our national character, and
it is a force that has guided the American
people, given us strength, and sustained us
in moments of joy and in times of challenge.

On National Day of Prayer, we acknowledge
God's grace and ask for His continued
guidance in the life of our Nation."
National Day of Prayer Proclamation,
President George W. Bush.

The Air Force culture reminds us that we
need to be each others' wingmen. We must
look out for one another.

It is good to see that our Commander-In-
Chief relies,
through his understanding
of
faith, relies on
God to be his
wingman.

I hope that
you took the
opportunity for
prayer during
the National
Day of Prayer
to remember
our leaders and the men and women who are serving
in harm's way; and remember their families.
