BLOOD DRIVE – DEC. 20
The 375th Medical Group is hosting a blood drive Dec. 20, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 10 W. Losey St. Family members 17 and older (16 with parental consent) may also donate. THE MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL FREE SHOWING – DEC. 21

FRIDAY NIGHT HOOPS – DEC. 21 & 28
Boys and girls are invited to play Friday Night Hoops, Dec. 21 and 28. Open to two separate age groups, Pre-teens 9-12 yrs (7-8 p.m.) and Teens 13-18 yrs (8-10 p.m.).  Teams are co-ed, and a physical is needed.  Bring your friends to join.  Night Hoops is free & open to all eligible members of the Youth Center.  Teens must still be in high school.  For more details, call 256-5139.

ROCK-N-BOWL FAMILY FUN NEW YEAR’S EVE BOWLING PARTY

The Stars and Strikes Bowling Center is hosting a New Year's Eve Countdown Party on Dec. 31. Choose from two sessions: 2 to 5 p.m. or 6 to 9 p.m. Sessions include three hours of bowling, free shoe rental, unlimited soft drinks, buffet dinner and New Year's Countdown with party favors. $100 for all, and up to 5 people per lane. 

Multiple lane groups welcome.  Pre-paid Reservations required; deadline Dec. 26.  Space is limited. Come in or call 256-4054 to register.

 

HEALTH PROMOTION CIRCUIT CLASS

There will not be a Health Promotion Circuit Class at the James Gym basketball court on Dec. 25 & Jan. 1. We will be back at it on Jan. 8, 2019 to help everyone achieve their New Year’s fitness goals. This one hour class is held on Tuesdays and guarantees a full body workout. Using your bodyweight, you will achieve both a strength and cardiovascular workout that will burn and get you the results that you desire. This class is open to the entire base populace and no registration is needed. Incentives are received after attending multiple class sessions to include dri-fit shirts, yoga mats etc. Call Health Promotion at the 375th Medical Group (256-7139) with any questions. 

 

EMPLOYMENT/EDUCATION FAIR – JAN. 12
The 932 Airman & Family Readiness Office is hosting an Employment/Education Fair on Saturday, Jan. 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the active duty A&FRC, bldg. 1650.  Anyone with base access is welcome to attend. MLK LUNCHEON FEATURING JACKIE JOYNER-KERSEE – JAN. 17
The 2019 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Luncheon takeS place at the Scott Event Center on Jan. 17.  This luncheon will honor contributions the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. made promoting the values of human dignity, community partnerships, equality, selflessness, and leadership.  The honored guest speaker is Olympian Jackie Joyner-Kersee.

ROAD CONSTRUCTION AND GATE USAGE

In an effort to reduce the traffic congestion caused by the closure of East Winters Street [to last through Jan. 9], the 375th Civil Engineering Squadron would like to remind everyone that they may use the MidAmerica [Cardinal Creek] Gate Mon-Fri from 6-8 a.m. and 3-5 p.m.   Also, there is no exit through the Georgian Housing area, so please avoid that area as it is causing congestion for the residents there. Thank you for your patience as we make improvements to our infrastructure.  To help keep motorists informed as work progresses, questions and concerns may be addressed to the 375 CES Project Manager via (618) 256-2202. We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding.
