Veterans week filled with Air Force Reserve outreach

As part of community relations outreach, Lt. Col Stan Paregien from the 932nd Airlift Wing's Public Affairs Office, speaks regarding American veterans to Grant Junior High School students November 6, 2019. Later in the week he was joined at Highland Junior Hight School by a 73rd Airlift Squadron pilot and commander, Lt. Col. Brandon Lorton. A display booth was set up early in the morning and Paregien answered questions for several hours to multiple rotating classes about the Air Force Reserve. He handed out some military gear for students to pass around, along with an American flag, and answered student's questions about what it takes to become an American Airman during an all day event culminating with a final school assembly, then featuring Lt. Col. Lorton as the keynote speaker interacting with local veterans from the community. (Photo submitted)
