SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. -- Several 932nd Airlift Wing members got out on a cold evening and welcomed back returning Airmen recently, including deployer and unit Chaplain (Maj.) Michael Williams, in blue shirt. He was greeted with applause, hugs and verbal greetings of appreciation upon his arrival back in Illinois on January 27, 2019. Various members of the wing staff, public affairs, medical, family readiness and operations were represented. Although tired from the long trip back, the chaplain expressed gratitude and thankfulness to those on hand. The 932nd AW is a 22nd Air Force unit flying the C-40 aircraft under Air Force Reserve Command and is located at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Citizen Airmen like Maj. Williams come from 37 different states to train with the 932nd AW. (U.S. Air Force photo by Lt. Col Stan Paregien)
